Our Project Management Methodology

All projects have a beginning, a life-cycle, and an end. During the life-cycle of any project there are many ways that the project can easily go off course. Our methodology employs a "System of Systems" that guides the project from inception to completion, ensuring a successful completion. This proven methodology has given us a 100% customer satisfaction rating.

Each layer of our methodology works in unison with the other layers throughout the life-cycle of the project. Our methodology is flexible enough to be used on any size project, small or large, and is also agile enough to support project changes when required. This proven methodology ensures that the customer's requirements are met and that the project is completed on time.

The Project Process Inputs layer identifies the inputs that go into the project process throughout the life-cycle to ensure that everyone involved with the project understands what's required and how to successfully work together.

The Project Management Processes layer identifies the functions of the Project Management Office throughout the project. Depending on the size of the project, these functions are tailored to meet the needs of the project.

The Project Life-Cycle layer identifies the inter-operating phases that are conducted as the project moves forward towards completion. Each phase has a "Feedforward Loop" that provides information to the subsequent process. Each phase also has a "Feedback Loop" that provides information back to the previous phase when the phases are overlapping.

The Performance Success Tools and Techniques layer identifies some of the tools we employ in performing each project. The tools are selected during the project planning phase to meet the requirements of the individual project.

The final layer of the Project Management Methodology identifies Reviews that are planned during the life of the project. Again, these Reviews are tailored to the unique requirements of each project.

  • The project kicks off with a Pre-Project Review which asks the question, "If we were at the end of the project and were considering the problems that occurred during the project, what would those problems be?"  This enables us to identify problems up-front as a group and then develop mitigating actions that will prevent these problems from occurring.

  • Agreement/Disagreement Reviews are planned during the life-cycle of the project to identify areas where team members agree or disagree on the operations of the project. The goal is to identify areas that can be identified as strengths to leverage, and also to identify areas of weakness that need to be managed or moderated while the project is still underway and necessary changes can still be implemented.

  • Finally, at the completion of each project, we conduct a Post-Project Review to identify the strengths and weaknesses of how the project was conducted.  At no time during these reviews are individuals targeted. Rather, the goal is to identify processes and procedures for enduring improvement.
